Plz expalin, in English, the meaning of these lyrics from a song by Patrick Fiori ( plus je pense a toi). I understand he's addressing this to his beloved who is dead..............................

Pour les soleils violets que tu dissimulais meurtrie,
Et les rires empruntés qui te raccrochaient à la vie.
Plus je pense à toi et plus encore je m'aperçois
Que le temps qui passe ne me guérira pas.

I have not yet had the opportunity to study abroad, but I usually can understand native speakers relatively well if they don't speak too fast. I watch Univisión/Telemundo every night, and usually have to Tivo a clip 4 or 5 times B4 I (might) understand it. I'm getting discouraged, because I feel I'm not making any progress.

I have a quick grammar question. When you are saying 'his/her' _______, do you make the agreement with the subject or whatever it is that is his/hers based on whether or not it is feminine or masculine?

For example, if you were to say "Her father" (father being masculine) would you say - "Sa pere" or "Son pere"?

Can you write it our in English phonetically, so I can say it propertly, and then also, in correct German grammar.
This would be a response to the question, Do you speak German? is the answer un bitter? if not what does that mean.
