Can you write it our in English phonetically, so I can say it propertly, and then also, in correct German grammar.
This would be a response to the question, Do you speak German? is the answer un bitter? if not what does that mean.

AQ is right. Depending on where you are in germany you might pronounce it a little differently. The southern "high german" pronunciation (which you are probably expected to speak in german class) sounds more like "ein bissien". But i lived with folks in the north and we just say "ein bish'n" :)
