Why is it generally easier for English speakers to learn Spanish or French than it is to learn German, when German is a fellow Germanic language, and French and Spanish are Romance languages?

"Warmly welcome the experts and scholars at home and abroad. Thanks for your presence at our university and your precious opinions."

It is a banner and it is Chinglish. I want to know the correct way of saying this. My opinion is like this:
1. Since it is on a banner, capital letters should be used.
2. "The" is not necessary.
3. "Warmly" should be crossed out.
4. "at home"
5. "Thanks" sounds informal. It should be "Thank you".
6. "at our university" should be "to"
7. "Precious opinions" is Chinglish.
It is the translation of a Chinese sentence. If you think it is not worth correcting, please tell me what would you use in such circumstance.
I think it should be:
Welcome Experts and Scholars Domestic and Abroad to Our University for Inspection

Which is easier to learn? Both Arabic and Chinese have a different alphabet and a different format for writing, so which would be easier to learn? Also, in terms of applications, which language has more opportunities for use in the world? Thanks.

Today I saw on entertainment tonight that one cast member called another a F*g.....ok that was not nice, but the public is saying is just a bad as using the "N" word, maybe because the insulter was African American, anyway they are protesting for his job....my question when did the "F" word become as insulting as the "N" word, what did I miss, neither are nice words to use to describe someone, but one does not have the history of hate as the other, I guess I missed that memo ?

Hi, I'm from Taiwan.
My friend is a wedding consultant.
And she is going to make her business card.
She wants to write something on her card.
Now she is confused on some grammar question.

"Your Happily Ever After" & "Your Happiness Ever After" & "Your Happy Ever After"

Which one's grammar is correct?

I told her "Your Happily Ever After" is correct.
But she was wishy-washy.

So could someone tell me the right answer?
Thank you.
