I want to do somehitng special for me and my husbands firts valentines day...Money is kinda an isue seeing how we are newly married, I just started my job and after the holidays...you know what I am talking about...LOL...He's not one of those guys who likes picnics or anything sadly...but like I sad I want to make it SPECIAL any ideas?

Me and my boyfriend both attend the same college, are both from the same town, but he commutes back home, while I stay on campus. We are both low on money and he says that he cannot splurge on both of the days, and is not in favour for valentine's day because it falls on a wednesday, which is a school night and I have to get up for early classes on Thursday... we must make a compromise on the situation. Since our anniversary falls on a friday, i thought about just celebrating it on that weekend... I really need help on this sanario!!!!

So me and my boyfriend haven't been going out for too long and valentine's day is coming up and i want to get him something to shows that i care. but the problem is that his mom doesn't and can't know we are going out. i can't get him something that his mom will notice and ask too many questions about. any ideas on what i should get him?

We have almost 4 years together. I've always given him really expensive gifts for special occasions. But I'm on a really tight budget for now, so I want to get him something sweet & that has a special touch to it. Any ideas? No perfume/watch/shoes/guitar/car parts. LOL I've given him all of that already.

ok, so we have the chance to escape the kids for the weekend, so instead of celebrating on v-day were doing it this weekend, any ideas? i wanted to find a nice hotel with a big bathtub but seems that really expensive. either way we get an over nighter so i plan on be gone from my home for the weekend. I think its the lamest excuse for a 'holiday' EVER. I've never celbrated it, I've never bought my significant other anything on it, and I never would want anyone that expected me to.

The way I look at it, if I need a specific day to show my love the my love is nothing but a show. I would rather bring home flowers, or chocolates, or dinner reservations.. on any other day in the year when its not expected of me by society. That, to me, is a more realistic showing of affection and love.

Am I alone in this? It seems I am for the most part?
