Ok this is only the second time ive made thanksgiving dinner for my friends and family...and I'll be using a turkey bag for the turkey...and draining the jucies for gravy...if anyone makes gravy like this for their mashed potatos...do you prefer to use Flour or corn startch to thicken it up??
and how much of it do you use?? (i bought a medium size turkey) and do you have any recipes or tips to follow for making the gravy?

Once the smell of a cooking turkey fills our house everyone keeps trying to sneak into the kitchen for bites of whatever is being cooked.....what does your family usually set out as appetizers & snacks (dont be afraid to share some recipes if you have any plz !!!) while the meals being cooked and to keep them out of the kitchen lol

Does using a turkey bag in your opinion make the turkey more moist/flavorable????? or do you all wrap it in foil? or just stick it in the oven

Do people still dress (that is, kids in pretty dresses & dress shirts with neckties, adults in Church-worthy clothing) for Thanksgiving Dinner?

We've always done so in my family, but I wonder what others do.

Would you ever go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving? Personally I wouldn't cause I work in retail after 7 years and I know how busy it can get on the day after Thanksgiving and that is the day I never really look forward to working.

Plus I can't stand being in the large crowds and customers pushing each other to get what they want.

people to LEAVE when it's getting late and they've been at your house ALL DAY and evening? Most people leave in a timely fashion but there's ALWAYS those stragglers still sitting there picking over the leftovers and flopped out on my sofa. HELP PLEASE!
