Catch a flight, go away for three days and see if my husband notices that I am gone.

We are spending the night before Thanksgiving in a cabin on the rim of the Grand Canyon. In the morning, as the sun rises, I plan to go out in the peace and quiet, to the edge, and contemplate. We have a fireplace in our room, and hope to enjoy a cozy fire in the morning, as well. One of the hotels on the rim is offering Thanksgiving Dinner on a first come first serve basis, and we may have supper there.
For sure we will have breakfast at the Bright Angel Lodge, and share the happiness of the day, and the glorious inspiration of the canyon.

To do as little as posible. I work the day before and then that day - people will be out shopping for last minute things and the those like me without real families will be eating in the little delis like I work at so hopefully that will keep my mind occupied. My Dad will think there has to be a big meal so will fix something and I will eat it in front of the TV in my room.
I hate holidays.

The obligatory family dinner with the in-laws. Last time was three years ago and none of the three brothers were speaking to each other. This year at least they can pretend to like each other. Should be lots of fun!

AA meeting first thing.
Noon meal with friends.
Short nap.
Visit veteran in the VA hospital.
6 p.m. meal with other friends.
8 pm AA meeting.
A rousing game of Euchre with whoever is still standing.

i'm over drama this year ......so were staying home and i will do all the cooking,a quiet dinner for 3. : ] bring on the wine! lol
