I don't think you should bring a gift to a Thanksgiving Party. The proper thing to do in this matter would be to bring a nice desert or bottle of wine.

A bottle of wine is soooo average, following are suggestions that are a little understated,to be safe, but appropriate if you want to give a thanksgiving gift:

A nice understated fall floral arrangement......or a box of Godiva chocolates (never fails any time)........or a couple of nice mugs and cocoa in a fall gift bag..........or a warm scented candle from Bath & Body (they have the BEST candles)........... or you can send any of the above-mentioned gifts to me...;-)

I have to purchase a gift for my boss as well. A safe bet if you know that he drinks is a really nice bottle of champagne or wine or even a select liquor. If he is a corporate member, then a nice engraved writing pen from 'office depot' or
'things remembered' would be a sure bet as well. Or purchase a Jack Daniels Barbeque gift basket or such items! Men are really easy to please as long as it has to do with food, alcohol or flashy things.

It would be HIGHLY inappropriate to bring him/her a gift.

You can, however bring a bottle of wine or some other food item....I would go with a nice bottle of wine.
