How special are they to you?
Now as many of you have become parents, how better could you feel the pain of your parents now, which you might had failed to understand when you were young?

Who is more dear to you, mother or father? As to me its my mother~!

I was answering a question in another section completely unrelated to religion and I happen to come across a Muslim who made the claim quote
"No. My daughters won't be having baby dolls as one I can't stand them and two it's against my religion for humans to have inanimate objects that look like animals or humans."

But I know there is a hadeeth (the one about Aisha r.a. playing with a horse with wings) of our beloved prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) that is interpreted by many scholars as making it permissable for little girls to have dolls.

So what do the different schools of thought have to say on this?

every year?

I read another question saying it sometimes goes into January only. How can this be? We Muslims use the lunar calendar as well and the Islamic dates move up 11 days each year, so that the holidays and Ramadan eventually fall throughout the year at some point. Why is this not true for Hanukkah?

I was just wondering if anyone could really tell me why I would dislike christmas so much, its not like I have had bad christmas's or anything and i love Thanksgiving and I love Jesus, I don't know if it is the snow, cold, people being all cheery, or all the commerlization it gets. My vote is for Paul McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time."

Jesus Holy Christ, I hate that song! That dopey, midi-style keyboard, the awkward syntax, the irritating chorus ... and the fact that radio stations and department stores think its "hip" and start playing it ad nauseum beginning November 28th!

That song is almost enough to make me hate Christmas!

Okay, I'm sorry. I guess, what I really want to know is if anyone else finds this song as irritating as I do.

I would just like to say that santa saying ho ho ho is traditional for christmas and has been for many centries, If we were to say hahaha merry christmas it sounds like Christmas is just a big joke.. Many children would grow up thinking that christmas is a funny & joke.
