if she really want s one then yes, but you have to remember that there's no garente that the dog that you pick out for her will take to her.

I wouldn't recommend picking out a dog and giving it to her as a surprise- you don't really know what sort of dog she would connect with, or what the dog will be like or if it will work out. But if she really wants one, I think it's a great idea to go to a shelter or breeder some place near Christmas time and pick out a dog together, for you to get her as a present. That way you'll both meet the dog before hand and you can be sure it will work out well before getting it for her- less of a suprise, but better in the long run.

Good luck. =)

Taking care of a dog involves commitment and money. Your friend must be decided to devote a lot of attention and time to take care of the dogs including the expenses for food, toys, cloths, etc. and veterinary needs.

For as long as she is WILLING AND ABLE to give these to a dog, her life would be better for sure. Have a great doggy day!!!

I hope you like dogs too, like you said you want to be serious with her, they have a pretty long life .
Then if you decide yes you would like one too. Then make her Happy and get her one . You both can pick the name together.
Next comes a baby in a baby carriage. lol : )

Good luck !

If you're "kind of" seeing this girl, by no means should you surprise her with a dog. Maybe you could make a cute "gift certificate" for Christmas saying that you promise to buy her a dog of her choice if that is what she so wishes.

I would have a back-up gift, just in case :P

Only if she is able to care for a dog for the next 15-20 years. If so, get her a Jack Russell.

not unless your definitly serious because a dog is like a child that only lives for 15 years max.

No. Chances are she may rather be with the dog. Or worse, just need you for a dog walker.

Not a good idea to surprise her with one. She needs to be part of that decision.
