I have talked to many shia muslims and noticed that their practices/believes are shirk. So I would like to ask all the Shai muslims that do you agree with the following lecture "What is Shirk" by Dr Israr Ahmed.

He's in his early 60s, Scottish (but I don't think would appreciate Scottish-themed presents), has a sense of humour but dirty presents would NOT be appropriate. Price limit €10 (would probably buy about the same as US$10). I don't know anything else about what he's interested in, unfortunately (I only just started work here...) Thanks!

I am not a fan of Christmas decorations to begin with. Whoever said red and green actually looked good together anyway? It is my first christmas in my own home with my husband, and I decided not to put up any decorations. 1.) I don't like them. 2.) We don't have any, and can't afford to buy some. 3.) There is no room, we have a small house.4.) We have so many places to be on Christmas Eve and Day, we won't be home at all. I will put them up once we have children, and I still buy for everyone and go visit and enjoy the holiday, but my whole family thinks I am scrooge for not putting up at least a tree. What do you think? Has anyone else decided not to put up a tree when it is just adults in the house?

Now that Hanukkah is over, I have candle wax all over my silver plated menorah. How do I clean it so it looks nice for next year? I have an old one that I was using and it got gross because I didn't know how to clean it well, and so I bought a new one. I don't want the same thing to happen to this one.

Okay, so at work, my coworkers have decided that we're going to do Secret Santas with a twist. Everyone who wants to be involved picks out a gift that would be good for ANYBODY. All boxes must be the same so no one knows who brought what. No drawing names. Apparently, last year someone forgot to bring a gift, so someone didn't get a gift....so this year, the boss decided to bring random gifts so everyone who brings a gift leaves with a gift.

So....what is a good gift around $10 that is work appropriate for male OR female, ages 16-45? That's so hard! It can be funny or serious, but no gift cards and nothing inappropriate for minors (like lottery tickets or sex/drinking stuff). If it helps, my coworkers tastes range from goth, to skater, to preppy to boring....LOL Also, no clothing b/c my coworkers range from teeny tiny to extra large.

If the Quran is supposed to be a continuation of the Bible then why are they different?

For example

Lot is not a prophet in the Bible but he is in the Quran

Moses was rescued by the daughter of the Pharoah in the Bible but in the Quran it is the wife of the Pharoah

Satan is of a different species than angels that is not mentioned in the Bible

Ishmael was about to be sacrificed but God quickly replaced him with a sheep that Abraham sacrificed instead in the Hadiths but it was Isaac and Abraham stopped when an angel told him to

Hagar was a legitimate wife of Abrahams in Islam but she was just a concubine in the Bible

Isaac was the only child of Abraham and Ishmael was not a legitimate son in the bible

What's wrong with saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays? It's getting very ridiculous because the holiday's are based on the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour. It's becoming very stupid because there's no commerials or anything drawing the costumers into the stores. Now, it's like a ghost town everywhere you go. What happen to the spirit of the Lord. It seems almost as though it is any regular week. I don't care about Christmas right now. It just seems like another holiday. I am not getting that special feeling that I used to get during Christmas. It just doesn't seem that exciting. How can I get more into the mood?
