I dont want mny note to be a just a short "Happry Mother's Day!" simply becuase I can't afford to give her a gift and I had to go out and buy a really generic card because those were the only ones I could find and I was in a hurry. One the other hand, I don't want to write a really cheezy note tellling her that I love her and think about her all the time and on and on and on. Can someone help me soon? I need to meet her in a few hours!

We all should give our mothers a card, gift, or visit on Mothers Day. Now, should the husband be expected to buy his wife something on mothers day??

I'm a crafty kid, so I want to my mom something. I have a ton of supplies, but not a ton of time. Nothing too advanced, just something cool and unique.
Thanks!

One year, I gave mine a gift that she didn't like. She said I should have known better. She had never liked things like that.

I also gave her a cake from a bakery. I should have known she didn't like bakery icing.

She cried and cried because my brother and I were so thoughtless, and didn't care about her. (I was only about 10)

I've been very careful to say thankyou and act happy for every gift my kids give me. Whatever it is, it is always just what I wanted.

How do/did your Mom react to gifts you give? How do you react to gifts you get?

my mom is really picky when it comes to mothers day gifts...she wont accept gift cards, spa days or anything like that, i can't get her flowers or jewelry, and i cant buy her pajamas or make her anything...she wants something bought...if i dont get her something that says i put a lot of thought it she'll more than likely be upset, any ideas? and please no spend the day with her ideas or picnics, she just sees that as a way of me being unable to come up with anything she'd actually like...

Every year we recognize a few mothers at church on Mother's Day and I would like some ideas that aren't the traditional oldest mother, youngest mother, mother with the most kids, etc. Any ideas that would be different but still tasteful?

My Grandmother basically raised me, my mother was a part of my life really till I was 10 when I went to live with my grandparents. Even before I lived with her she was basically my mother. My mom did drugs alot, so when my dad was working I spent most of my time with her. She meant so much to me and still does to this day. She past away 2 years ago. I was just wondering if it would be appropriate for me to where a white corsage on mother's day even though she is not my real mother, she is my father's mother??

My husband didn't get me anything for mother's day last year - and I gave birth to our first son that previous January. This year, he's still telling me how it's not important, and if Logan gets older and thinks it's important, then he can do something special for me. It breaks my heart to see that one commercial where the dad tells the mom that their daughter stole the car to go get her a mother's day present and they only have a baby who's like, not even 1 yet, and the dad says it's because she wanted her to have the most special mother's day ever since it was her first and he holds up a jewelry box for her... so sweet. Am I the only one who's motherhood goes unappreciated? Is it me or do most moms get b*tchy on mother's day?
