I suggest you do things that come from the heart for her. Cook her favorite meal. Serve her breakfast in bed. Clean the house really really good. Get out some construction paper & glitter & make her an old-fashioned Mothers' Day card!
Fix popcorn, put in a dvd ya'll both love & have a movie night.
Give her a foot massage & a pedicure. Make a coupon book for her with things like "will do dishes one full week" or "one free back rub". There's any number of things you can do just for her that don't cost a cent. Look at her life & see if there's some way you can lighter her load in any way. Most of all, let her know that you love & appreciate her so much. My mom passed away in November & I wish I had her here to do anything at all for her. Whatever you decide, do it with love & your mom will be sure to love it!!!!

I went 2 Dollar tree and bought 3 mugs some peppermints some butterscotch 3 scented candles spent $8 all 2gether then we went 2 walmart got some hersheys kisses and some herbal tea all that was about 3 or 4 dollars. This was for my 2 grandmas and step grandma. this helps if ur on a tight budget. As for my mom probably take her 2 a nice spa and make her bib (breakfast in bed) and take her 2 her fave restaurant for supper and maybe some nice new dishes or a pool cue.(we have a pool table).

Good Mother's Day ideas that dont cost anything are.....
You could make her a homeade card, Breakfast in bed, Make her dinner, Clean the house or just do something nice with her even if its just watch a movie. Mothers day is not about buying things for your mom its about celebrating moms and showing your mom how much you appreciate her. Whatever you do she will love as long as it comes from the heart...
Good luck..

Well if you live at home or even if you don't do something around the house. If she has a house say gardening, make dinner, I am sure there is food there, make a card you have computer acess easy to find them. What does she like to do ?
I am sure you can come up with ides, give her a hug and tell her you love her, that is most likely the biggest gift.

Make a card and some homemade coupons with some services you could do for her, like "this coupon is good for cleaning a room of your choice". Also, find some wild flowers to give with the card. Sometimes a homemade gift makes mom happy. (just a suggestion)

it's not mothers day in the uk... that was in march i think? Lol i always go with flowers from the grocers shop, my mum loves tulips, which are pretty, cheap and last for ages. I would borrow a few dollars from your dad/friend/sibling to buy something, or else you can draw her a card. Mums love home made stuff! photo collages are also good, but make sure you don't stick them down too firmly :P

Make some cookies, pick some lilacs or give her something that is special to you (something that belongs to you) like a necklace, earrings, scarf, bellybutton ring (just kidding). But seriously, giving up something that you love to give to someone you love is a beautiful gift. Really, just a homemade card that says "I love you" is enough. Don't sweat the money and material store stuff. You'll figure something out.

paint her a picture, sing her a song. Do whatever talent you are best at. Find stuff around your house and make something like a frame or a necklace. Think about what your mom likes. If you're desperate enough, you can re-gift something, that's becoming popular these days, although I wouldn't advise it.

If Mom lives close by.....
*Cook her a meal at her house, and clean up the mess.
*Give her a back or foot massage.
*Clean out her garage or basement or wash her windows.
*Take her on a walk in the park and just enjoy eachothers company.
*Make a card out of paper, leaves, glue, buttons, whatever.
*Pick flowers from a field.
*Just tell her how much you love and appreciate her and tell her if you had money you'd buy her something.
*If she is far from you then call her.
