Other - Holidays - December 2006

Because of certain holiday plans, my family is spending Christmas morning in a hotel near my sister's house. Her home is small, and she shares it with a roommate -- so staying there is a no go. However, how do we make the hotel a little more festive without stepping outside the hotel guidelines? Waking up in a typical box hotel room is anything but merry. Help!

I have made my own Christmas creations, decorated the house, listen to the music and still the Christmas emotions are at bay. I usually get that wonderful, warm feeling after it has passed, and then it's TOO LATE! any suggestions on how I can conjure some fuzzy warm Christmas feelings? BTW, Happy Holidaze to everyone!

Why is it such a big deal to say Merry Christmas. I mean that is what the whole se4ason is about. Christ!! You people that say no to Merry Christmas, that is horrible. I am not going to stop and i am glade that other places are saying it... How do u feel about this???

I was thinking a game or something..

For ex. one idea is to "decorate" the boss. We would stand him up and decorate him with toilet paper etc... like a tree. Someone suggested bingo.. any others? btw the party is tuesday.

We usually open them all when we get up - but this year I've decided that we'll do things a bit different.

Stockings etc first thing - then proper presents after tea in the evening.

My reasons for this are entirely selfish - I am fed up with spending the day locating batteries and putting together exceptionally complicated toys etc - and it would also be nice to make the day "last longer".

What's your routine on the day?
