No, the Church chose the date in order to stabilize the cycle of scripture readings. The date was celebrated around the world on different dates. Coordinated work between the Patriarchs of Antioch, Jerusalem, Constantinople and the Pope of Rome and the Pope of Alexandria ultimately brought Christmas on December 25th and Theophany on January 6th (the 12 days of Christmas).

No. He was actually born is late April. The reason it is celebrated in December is, The roman catholic Pope, Gregor changed the calendar. The world during the Middle Ages was in turmoil about dates they should harvest crops, so Gregor designed a common calendar as a guide. The calendar (Gregorian) is still used today. In the new calendar, Jesus birthday came on the Dec. 25 instead of Apr. 25.

I think Jesus was born in the year 10.

Its like Da Vinci's code, but the answers are there.

The year would be X (they used roman numerals, according to wikipedia)

Merry X-mas
