would you let him in or kick him out?if he invited himself I am under no obligation to feed him I would give him a green card and send him across the border to Iraq to have dinner with the soldiers there and maybe he would serve his country in the military this time Cheney I would send to shoot the turkey cause with any luck he would shoot himself and the turkey shall live on

I'm turning eighteen really soon but for some reason it seems depressing. Like, it's just a day but some changes in the personal life seem to be bound to come along with it.
I'll probably go to some college but there is much doubt about which one to chose as if it's difficult to make it to the ones I would really like.
Also, I'm not really sure if I can make my plans come true. They are what might matter a lot as it would decide a lot.

Finally, it's just some strange age. When I turned 13, something got me on thinking my childhood was over and I was wondering similarily like I do now. Now it's as my adolescense would be over and it leaves me to some nostalgia and a bit of depression. ;)

I don't know, I've tried cheering myself up with music or something but it seems all I have is depressive stuff...

Anyway, you can probably skip this rant now.
Or in case if you would want to answer to this - I wonder if somebody else has experienced this when turning to some age? Any ideas?
Thanks

Celebration, comparable to the 'seasonal' celebrations of Kwanza, Christmas, or Hannukah?

Are there rituals or customs associated with same?

I live 25 miles east of San Francisco and we get more of a change of seasons here than in the immediate bay area, but not as severe as the east coast. I enjoy the variety of weather throughout the year. Sometimes I enjoy going to Chicago to visit relatives during the winter to get a good dose of snow. It is fun for a Californian.

I see a lot of people with questions for what to get people who are hard to shop for. Well I think I am one of those people. Its not that I have everything and couldnt possibly use something else. Its more like its been a long hard year and somewhere throughout the year I have lost myself. I have forgotten what once interested me. Spent so much time thinking of others in my life I have no idea who I am anymore. My mom asked me the other day what I wanted and I honestly froze. I have no idea what to tell her. Friday when I was Christmas shopping for others I tried to look for myself. The only thing I could even come close to thinking was a digital camera. Thing is I got one last year. This one is better quality...but it seems a bit ridiculous to get another one a year later. I want to be able to at least point people in the right direction but I do not know what to even ask for. Everything comes back down to something for the kids or other people in my life. What should I want?

One tradition I grew up with is that every year, my mom would have us help her write a Christmas letter to all the distant relatives and friends we hadn't seen in awhile. She would include photos and catch everyone up on what had been happening with our family in the past year.

Now that I have a family of my own, I'd like to continue that tradition. I just don't know where to begin or what I should say. Any advice for writing the perfect holiday letter?
