Iv been seeing my boyfriend for about a year and 1/4, and I want to know if anyone has ideas for xmas presents? He just says he only wants me and my love but I feel bad if he gets me things and I dont. All the websites say Ipods and movie sets, but Im real short on cash... Dont say picture collage, I was thinking about writing or drawing him something... or maybe a necklace or chain. He likes movies, music, and hes a big sentimental romantic.

Christmas has already reared it's
commercial head- and first did so many many weeks ago. Thanksgiving is now just melting into the
cheap fabric of Christmas and becoming one big smorgasborg of shopping,
eating, and working working working(to pay for more shopping and eating why of course!)

I love certain things ABOUT Christmas and at the last minute, I always
get a little into the "spirit"...but it just seems like Christmas is now
this huge money hungry monster wrapped in tinsel and priced to sell.
It seems as though the real meaning has been drown in a pool of ribbons and
wrappings, receipts and tape.. eggnog and lights...
where is the REAL meaning?

I was putting up my Christmas Tree when I had to turn around to pick something up...
And when I turned back around, there were eyes staring at me.

After my computer stops being stuborn, I will post the picture.

In the mean time, When do you usually put your tree up?
Do you have tradition? (i.e. Do you put it up the day after Thanksgiving? Or on Dec. 1st?)

The gifts in question must be suitable for people in their 50's who are conservative. They must be in the $20 range.-no higher, no lower

Does everbody love Christmas as much as I do?
I'm 21 with a 2 year old. So, I don't get Santa Claus or get presents from everybody else like I use to, but I still love Christmas as much as I did when I was a kid.

Do you have a family member that is sick? A neighbor that can't pay the bills? What do you want for others during this upcoming Christmas season? Are you going to help them? How are you going to help them?

Help others!

How do you decide when to say Merry Christmas to ppl and when to say Happy Holidays? It seems that most ppl do celebrate Christmas but a few ppl who do not celebrate sometimes get bent out of shape when ppl say Merry Christmas to them. I live in a large US city (over 100,000 ppl). On the other hand, I am concerned that if I say Happy Holidays, ppl will think (mistakenly) that I don't celebrate Christmas or am an atheist or both.
