Do you have a special talent? For instance, I bought a dozen plain colored christmas ornaments, a paint brush and a few paints, and painted things on the ornaments. Then I personalized them with the receivers name and the year. I started 17 years ago, now I run my own business. I never knew I could paint, I have never taken a class. Its worth a try. Do you have a service you could offer? Make up decorative cards and offer your services for free. Babysit, cook a meal, clean the house. Wax the car, etc. One year, my brother didn't have the extra cash, so he donated 5 hours of community service to each one of us siblings. For Me, he worked at a soup kitchen, my sister is big into animals, so he worked at the local shelter for 5 hours. I think he worked picking up trash for my other sister on the road she lived on because she was into the epa. Theres so much you can do with out money that means so much. Use your imagination. Most of all, have fun with it. You might find that the gift of your love and time is the best gift you will ever give, and the best gift someone can recieve!! Happy Holidays!!

If you have a few dollars, try Dollar Tree. They have lots of items which only cost $1.00 each. Candles, candy dishes, pretty ornaments, books, music, hats, bubble bath, etc. Get each person just 1 thing that you think they would like.
The thought counts, and if you can find something you know they collect, all the better.
Another idea- get coffee mugs ($.62 at Wal-mart), a box of hot cocoa, and a box of candy canes. Stuff each coffee mug with either 1 or 2 cocoa mixes, and a candy cane. You can add in a few peices of chocolate from a bag of Christmas candy, too.

You look around for some wood good quality discarded wood, preferably treated timber, carve an animal or etch a nice picture, and it very carefully sand it until the surface is perfectly smooth, then apply olive oil and some bees wax.
Another option: Make get a big piece of cardboard, draw a game a bit like snakes and ladders on it, except it's the local neighbourhood. Send people on missions like getting food from the supermarket or whatever.

Write them out little coupons....like, I will come over one day, and clean the house, pick up the yard, make your brothers/sisters bed. Do other this and that chores for them. That would mean a lot to me. So, I am sure that they would appreciate it.

i'm not sure how much money you're working with, but you could always make a small donation to a charity in your their name. it doesn't have to be individual donations, just one from "the smith family". then you can give each member of your family a card stating, "a donation has been made in your honor..." include this with the baked goods and a warm smile.... you can't go wrong. happy holidays!!!
