I was wondering what you thought about me buying them both something nice from Tiffanies. I don't know, like a nice bracelet, necklace, or ring, or whatever. I'm pretty good at picking things out in this capacity and if they don't like it, there will be a gift receipt for them, of course. I was just wondering if it would be too much coming from a brother and if I could and should spend my time and money on finding something more suitable from a sibling. I just love 'em lots and want them to like what I get them.

My husband is so hard to shop for. I have bought him shirts, pants, DVD's and CD's. He is in Iraq, so it would be something that can ship easy and I wouldn't have to worry about insuring the package.

I am having a 14th birthday party and i am ordering shirts. I dont know what to put on the shirts though!! One idea is "I rocked at Pauline's birthday party" but i dont think it is creative enough. My boyfriend is having an 18th birthday party at his appartment, but can't decide on a theme. Not something Lame but something elegant and smart but fun at the same time. There's a great (kind of sad) scene in Woody Allen's film, "Broadway Danny Rose", in which he has all his guests to Thanksgiving dinner in his tiny apartment and serves frozen TV dinners. Mine is the one where the little girl is trying to give the Marine her gift wish list and her mother is saying that he can't take it and then as they are leaving the Marine holds his hand out for the paper. It just brings me to tears. Whoever came up with that particular commercial knew what they were doing.

My grandmother's in her mid-80's and nearly blind. She's been a housewife her whole life, and in the past has liked to cook and knit and sew, but is really limited anymore by her poor vision. I'm at a loss.

Oh, and PS: she's not very techonoligicaly advanced. They had a rotary phone until like 5 years ago, and doesn't even have a CD player, much less a computer.
