My grandmother's in her mid-80's and nearly blind. She's been a housewife her whole life, and in the past has liked to cook and knit and sew, but is really limited anymore by her poor vision. I'm at a loss.

Oh, and PS: she's not very techonoligicaly advanced. They had a rotary phone until like 5 years ago, and doesn't even have a CD player, much less a computer.

Thanks in advance!!

For Christmas why don't you take her out to a hair saloon and get her hair done permed and color what ever she wants .. Get her nails painted up pretty ..

You could even buy her a pretty sweater if you want . I would say stay with the simple it works the best

My grandmother could not see either. I found a device in Radio Shack that would verbally tell her the time. It was a little square box about 4 X 4 X 4. Once the time is set all she has to do is to push a button and she will hear the time. My grandmother loved it and used it all the time!

Grandma's seem to love useful stuff. My grandmother is 95 and almost blind. I usually get her gift cards to places she likes to shop, cash, or books on tape.
