Since we allow the media to dictate our lives these days, the answer is yes. Thanksgiving doesn't create enough of a profit margin for retailers, so they are filling us with sugarplums way too early. Many Christians that I know are beginning to give up the whole commercialization of Christmas and chose to celebrate more conservatively with their families.
Since I am Catholic, we are concentrating on Advent more than Christmas right now. Other Christian faiths do this, too, you can find a lot of info on the internet about this if you would like.

Yes, Thanksgiving is being pushed out of society in favor for Christmas. People of this day and age have forgotten all about being Thankful. Never stopping to Thank the Lord for all the many blessings that he have given us down thru the year. But instead , they want to be rewarded/shower with all kinds of gifts. I'm very Thankful to be on the Land of Living. A lot of our fellow American have not . Christmas is just being able to be living and being love by so many people around me.

Yes and no, because there's no money in it for retailers; however, I've noticed a lot more Thanksgiving focused items back on the shelves in the last couple of years, so they are trying to pull in some sales. One of the most annoying things to me is walking down a store aisle with Halloween merch on one side, and Christmas merch on the other.

It seems that way, doesn't it -- right after Halloween the Christmas stuff is up at the stores. Too bad. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's so unpretentious and all about family.

My family doesn't even celebrate it anymore. We used to like 10 years ago. My dad moved away and doesn't care. Mom always had to work. Now that me and my sister are older we both work on the holiday. No one in the family cares or wants to take the time to make a big dinner. It's like another day in our house.
