Okay, even though I went shopping during Black Friday, I didn't get to buy everything that I needed. Is there another day before christmas where there are a lot of low prices+sales+discounts similar to on Black Friday? or will I have to wait until next year?

Just taking an unofficial poll.

I'm a hiding-under-the-blanket kind of person, myself. So is my cat.

Women seem to get the brunt of the work on holidays. Whether thanksgiving or christmas - which one is tougher on the woman? I say it is Thanksgiving. The reason is that there is much more focus on the meal. The woman is often judged on her culinary, domestic, and hostess duties on that meal. While I realize Christmas is a tough month, when it comes to the single day, I think Thanksgiving is tougher because of the big meal. Presents on Christmas divert attention from the meal.

Did you brave the Day After Thanksgiving Sales OR were you all done with your shopping before the big rush? (P.S. I work in retail and wouldn't have been out and about if i didn't have to be at work...eeeek!)

I am going christmas shopping and I have no money or ideas. I am kinda good at picking out what they like but its pretty hard to shop when you have $8 for your 2 sisters 1 mom 1 dad and 1 stepdad and everytime I find something I want too. if you have any ideas for family members or how I can make lots of money in less then a month please respond.

My book group friends & I are having a holiday gift exchange and the theme is "it contains letters." Besides the obvious choices like a book or stamp kit, I am looking for a creative or unique idea to fit this theme. Thanks!

I don't know if it's just my experience, but it seems to me like no one ever says Merry Christmas anymore. Now it's always Happy Holidays or Happy Hanukkah. People used to say Merry Christmas, whatever happened to it?

Last year for Christmas I got her a candle. She also just found out about a month ago she has cancer, what sould I get her? I want it to be special and meaningful but not "mushy gushy" type, not expensive and something she'll like.
