If she has cancer she may be really tired this Christmas. Do something to help her. Offer to help with Christmas baking or Christmas shopping or gift wrapping or decorating. Those activities are draining for someone who is ill. Additionally, buy her a nice journal - large book stores often have beautiful ones. At this time in her life she may want to record some things in writing.

It isvery hard t suggest a present for someone I know nothing about, but as you know her you can sit for a minute and think about all the things you know she has an inerest in.
Does she enjoy gardening? Perhaps a nice shrub or tree. Perhaps some gardening implements or Perhaps a treraium with plants inside.
Does she enojoy pampering. Consider a gift voucher from a beauty parlour.
Is she an avid reader? Perhaps the latest release novel or a voucher from a book store. Perhaps a book on a topic you know she is interested in.

Do what I did, get her something like a kit that includes bubble-bath and other toiletries that she can pamper herself with. You might lean towards something she can take to the hospital with her if she needs to go.
Sorry about the cancer thing, but try to keep the Holidays as light as possible, if you can. I know this is a trying time for everyone concerned. I lost my husband two years ago in October and buried his ashes the day before Halloween.

I suggest you ask your boyfriend what she wants. Or you can make a game out of creating christmas lists. Have everyone in the family write out a wish list and then give everyone a copy. If that seems tacky to you, here are some ideas:
A poster that has her family pictures in a family tree. If you have a digital camera or access to the pictures of everybody you can make this yourself.
or
We made my grandfather cry one year by giving him a picture of all of the grandchildren.

I saw this advertisement on t.v for a site that will offer gift ideas based on a persons personality. You should give it a try. If i remember correctly the site is http://www.gifts.com I lost my aunt to cancer January 5th of this year and i know she read alot of inspirational books on how to deal with cancer and its effects. That might help her through but if your worried the book might offend her, then i would go with something else. Good Luck

Get her a really nice scarf like cashmere. You won't have to worry abpout sizes and everyone needs one. Another suggestion is really nice stationary with her monogram. Don't forget you can never go wrong with a gift card. If she is hosting christmas dinner offer to help out. YOu will show her that you appreciate her and will definitely win some luve your girlfriend points which are very important to guys!
Merry Christmas!

Well I think that women love bath and beauty products, so you can not go wrong with a kit that has shower gel, lotion, hand creme, etc. And then you can also add some make up, like lip gloss, add some perfume, things like that. You know we love that kind of stuff!! :)

Check out her bathroom!!! You should get a good idea of her taste.
If she drinks alcohol, may I recommend a nice bottle of champagne?
