Well, I take the point that Eid is the actual celebration that follows the fasting of Ramadan and so if there's a holiday (which actually is a corruption of holy day) section with festivals like Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa et al, that Eid should be included, regardless of which month it falls in. I disagree that Eid should be represented as a subsection though and suggest that Eid should replace Ramadan in the list. Ramadan, like Lent, is a period of fasting, self-denial, contemplation and prayer - not really a holiday or festival. It's the celebration at the end of Ramadan which should be included as a holiday in the same terms as the others.
What do you think?

Does that come under the category of Ramadan as it falls at the end of that month, or am I being totally dim?

is that a holiday? probably because when folks in the U.S. say they know about other holidays at Christmas-time, they actually mean Hannakuh and Kwaanza, and that's it. anyhow, it would be slightly unrealistic to expect every holiday on the planet to be acknowledged at a store in the U.S.
