I don't know if it's just my experience, but it seems to me like no one ever says Merry Christmas anymore. Now it's always Happy Holidays or Happy Hanukkah. People used to say Merry Christmas, whatever happened to it?

Too many people are trying to be politically correct. Groups like the ACLU get people thinking that they are being offended by other people's beliefs. They think you are trying to push a religion on them if you say that to them. The stores and businesses have jumped on that band wagon out of fear of offending someone because they might be another religion or an athiest. I personally don't care. I have always celebrated Christmas and I always say Merry Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you! Hope you and your family have a wonderful one and a joyous New Year!

It isn't political correct to say Merry Christmas. It is what Christians would say, and they are group who is being degraded by the likes of ACLU(which was started by a communist) and the left.
When I am told Happy Holidays, I say back to them "Have a Merry Christmas and a Peaceful New Year". I do NOT shop retailors who tell their employees they can only say Happy Holidays to the customers.

Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year.

sad to say " Merry Christmas " is on her death bed and is almost gone. so many people are afraid of hurting another person's feeling a more " political correct " term has taken over. personally I'm glad when people say " Merry Christmas " as this is what I grew up with and says much more ( in my personal opinion ) than " Happy Holidays. "

Well, many people do not celebrate Christmas, so to be polite, people say happy holidays. This way all religions are included.

Christmas has the word Christ in it- they do not like the idea of celebrating Christ's birtday- they just want to take out the word Christ from this special holiday- now they say Happy Holidays

Season's Greetings, " What occurred to "Merry Christmas?"? " a million. human beings nonetheless say it (and that i nonetheless throw up) " it rather is been replaced via "happy holiday journeys" or "Season' Greetings"." seems united statesa. is ultimately transforming into extra accepting in the direction of others then.. " yet isn't it via christmas this is why we've the holiday journeys (as consistent with federal regulation that recognizes December 25 as a holiday)? " Uhh... That sentence became so unusual and nonsensical i'm no longer precisely particular what you have been asserting.. Ehm.. Christmas isnt why we've holiday journeys.. uhhh Im unsure if thats what you have been asserting.. yet no - christmas isn't why we've holiday journeys.. yet somewhat, next time attempt throwing some words at the same time that make experience. " If there have been different non secular celebrations that have the linked fee of christmas, why no longer call them how they're somewhat referred to as?" ok, right here we flow Now i'll assert something that purely could desire to ask your self you - - ... There are human beings in this united states of america that have self assurance something else than you! Oh goody gumdrops - you weren't waiting for that one have been you? Yep, it rather is real - There are human beings in united statesa. that are no longer christians! Whoah! i recognize its annoying to have self assurance, inspite of the undeniable fact that it rather is real. There are Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Odinists, Wiccians - Or regardless of you prefer to have self assurance in - they're alright here, and final time I checked - They didnt rejoice christmas, so why might you're saying it to them? - this is the reason that shops say it to their purchasers, human beings say it to strangers, etc. because of the fact they don't recognize what they have self assurance. Now, i'm happy to have enlightened you on the instant with somewhat user-friendly experience. happy holiday journeys
