i know that it's halloween today, but it's not a holiday. it's a devils day. you should not be celebrating halloween, especially you Christians out there. Do you really think it's Godly to put on costumes and scare people, and walk around in the dark asking for candy, when you don't know what kind of people are giving you candy? do you guys know how much kids get killed on halloween? what do you think that is...a coincedence? how come teachers say "have a SAFE halloween...don't you think they know that halloween is dangerous? i know many of you think that it's just a harmless, fun day for kids, but think about it.

Halloween, Child’s Play or The Serpent in the Garden?
October 14th, 2006 by jet44

This was my child’s English assignment. The students were asked to write a story on the subject of getting rid of a Holiday or adding one and this is what she wrote. I guess when the teacher read this one (no names were given) the class was dumbfounded and speechless.

To Whom It May Concern:

One of the main holidays in our country is Halloween. I feel that this particular holiday produces a more negative affect than holidays should be allowed. On Halloween nights many kids, young and old, walk up and down streets to collects candy and other goodies from the neighbors. These actions may seem completely harmless when thought of briefly but when the true history of this holiday is investigated further horrible truths emerge. For example the roots of Halloween date back to medieval times. Back then October 31 was considered a day when dead spirits were beli

Does anyone remember if there was a spooky house in your neighborhood you didn't want to go near at Halloween? There was one in my neighborhood, high on a dark hill, that we kids all thought of as haunted and NEVER went to at ANY time of the year. Even our parents didn't like it.

Just a little Halloween curiosity. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We've lived in our neighbourhood for 4 years now. The first two years nearly every other house on the street had some form of decorations. Then last year, there was a decline with less decorations but still consistent jack o' lanterns.

Tonight on our street only our home and one 8 houses down were done. No pumpkins and hardly anyone handing out candy.

How was the street you live on? And how do you feel about it?

Happy Hallowe'en!

When I was looking at some halloween question, one of the answers was hidden and it said above it "this answer is below your threshold" and then it had a link to "show" it and after you clicked that it said you can "hide" it again. What does this mean?

And, by the way, happy halloween! hope you guys had fun!
