I am so sorry about this. Is your dad at all open to seeiing that this isjust fun. Even Jesus had fun now and again . He went to weddings and when they ran out of wine he turned water in to wine so the party would not be over.

Your dad is right on one point. It is an evil and can be a very satanic holiday, But the other part i think he is taking u for a ride about. I am not entirely sure that what he is saying is right. or the truth. All i know is that God commands us to obey our parents, and as long as he says u cant go triick or treating then u dont. Dont get mad about it, he is just trying to protect you from the evil of the world. U should look up where halloween came from and learn about it yourself. But only a True Christian would say that it was evil or satanic. The world views it as ok and fun but God doesnt. Always obey your parents and u will live a long life. It says that in the ten commandments. Halloween has nothing to do with Christianity. It is a festival which no one--child or adult--should have anything to do with. You need to better understand the origins of Halloween and its dangers. For more on what i said go to http://www.pathlights.com/theselastdays/tracts/tract_22l.htm. God Bless

I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm a Christian and attend a United Church. We talked about Hallowe'en during the childrens service and talked about people giving out candy; sharing your candy with others and showed each other that we can look to God for strength and courage when we scared and help each other if afraid.

Hallowe'en that we are practicing equates to a lot of giving; it's our actions that speak.

Orgasms and dancing with masks isn't Hallowe'en, that is some sort of ritual and reminds me of some scene from a recent book or movie. I could see why he wouldn't want you to do that; however, he should try to be realistic.

Here's the history of hallowe'en so you can accurately educate yourself and maybe dad for next year. Just don't push him and let him know you are not trying to change his beliefs; just want him to be clear.

Good luck kid!

Your father is not a Christian, he is a hypocrite! You need to rebel! Show your father what an jerk he is. There is nothing about Halloween that is evil.
