Ground up glass, pins in apples (like anyone actually gives or eats apples), LSD in candy, poo in chocolate.......the urban list is endless! Has anyone ever had any bad experiences with trick or treats in this way????

In the past 20 years, I think only two people have ever died from eating tainted Halloween candy, and in both cases, the person was poisoned by a member of the family.

As long as the candy is wrapped, or from a trusted source, you are probably perfectly fine.

there was a man that put pins in the Jolly Ranchers in 1983. After that year-all of our candy was scanned. Then the rotten turds put rat poison in the candy. The next year-it was only the candy with air in the wrapper could be eaten. Everything else was thrown away.

The only "harm" that ever came to me as a child was a bellyache from eating too much.
Last year my son was given an individually wrapped vitamin lozenge.

No. This is more-or-less an urban legend. The few times it HAS happened, it was done by relatives of the kids.

Most of the few cases of that actually happening were done by family members to their own children (I know, f-ed up) or acquaintances.

i heard you can get your candy scanned by hospitals, etc... free of charge...

but usually, i don't think much people will give little kids "messed-up" candy unless they are absolute idiots without lives.
