Halloween

a friend gave me this info about hollween. is any of it true? i'm not sure myself.
"Druid priests led the people in diabolical worship ceremonies in which horses, cats, black sheep, oxen, human beings and other offerings were rounded up, stuffed into wicker cages and burned to death. This was done to appease Samhain and keep spirits from harming them. It is clear to see that HALLOWEEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CELEBRATION OF DEATH.
What about COSTUMES? They originated with these terrible Druid death rites also. As people and animals were screeching in agony while being burned to death the observers would dress in costumes made of animal skins and heads. They would dance, chant and jump through the flames in hope warding off the evil spirits. "

MY daughter,lara is 12 and wants to give gifts to her friends or as she calls them her "peeps".I am in no position to buy 20 store bought gifts not as a banker.I would like a good,reuseable handmade gift thats not to complex.I suggested handmade carsds but she already said no.Because everyone else gives her homemade gifts and she never get them anything.Last year she made hot cocoa mix but it was expensive and I would like something affordable.She also decides to do things like this the night before the last day before x-mas break and stress me out when shes up until 11.I am making her do it early this year.If anyone could help that would be great an easy 10 points to the best answer.

I had their little hearts pumping sooo hard. We were supposed to be on our way trick or treating, but I "ran out of gas" along the way, just before a dark dead end road. I had them all come with me, couldn't leave them in the car, right?
I told them we would ask at the house to use the phone. Little did they know there was no house, just an abandoned barn. I brought them into the barn, where Barney my best friend has just butchered an elk. We had pieces of elk, and blood everywhere, and their mother did the head on a table thing, you know the hole in the table, cut out table cloth, it looked like her head was chopped off and on a table, great effects. Then Barney comes out of the dark part of the barn with the bone saw just blazing away, dripping in blood, and chased the kids all the way back to the car.
Now they are all pissed at me, but come on, isn't this what dads are for? My dad used to scare the piss out of me regularly. Why are kids so soft these days?

I was a grim reaper,
i wore the cloak and the hood mask thing,

The last time I went was age 13, that was in 1985. I was 5'10" tall and wearing a scary rubber mask. I got a couple of queries as to my age and I felt a little embarrassed.
