If you are asking that question, it sounds to me that you have thought about the fact that it might be cruel or degrading or that you are taking something serious like homelessness and making fun of it. If you hadn't thought of all those things and just thought of it as a costume, I would say "fine, go ahead". But you are obviously a deeper thinker than that. I would venture to say it is probaby not appropriate for you if you thought it might be hurtful to someone. But then again, I bet you already knew that. Whenever in doubt, trade places. Ask yourself how you would feel if you were homeless, poor, dirty, hungry, hopeless, scared, and cold and you saw a kid dressed that way for Halloween. How would it make you feel? Then decide if its appropriate for you.
