Sorry I'm asking this twice, but I would love to get an opinion from the Amercians on this one if I could.

Hello all. Little problem (again) with my parents, though it left me more confused than anything...I'm 26, with a hubby and nearly 11 month old son. For Halloween, we dressed up our son as a 60's peace activist, as we found some cool grungy camo trousers, a linen shirt and a khaki overshirt in the bargain bin at the Baby Gap. We made a little sign saying "Make Cookies, Not War!" as a funny joke and took him trick or treating with the neighbours and their kids. Everyone thought he was cute, and our 80 something year old neighbour loved it, and gave him a hug and a tangerine.

Yesterday, I sent the pics to my mom and dad and family as I do to keep them in the loop of our lives as I am an American living in Scotland. I got an email from my dad this morning saying that he was offended by our costume and pretty much said, live your life keep us out of it. I fail to understand

I ask this because my boyfriend is a really strict Christian and comes from a strict Christian family. I, too, am Christian (Protestant) but not so hard core. We have talked about getting married and having kids some day, but we had some arguments about what the kids would be. We figured out they would be both.

They believe that Halloween still has to do with Satan and stuff. I believe that it's just kids getting dressed up and getting candy.

They believe that telling your kids there is a Santa is all a big lie, which it is but they think you shouldn't lie to your kids. I believe that it is fun, being one who has done the whole Christmas thing my whole life, I was never mad at my family for saying there was a Santa.

my boyfried said he doesnt do valentines day :( because it is Saint Valentine's Day... this one I don't get. I know the real story and it's nothing bad.

Easter? Forget it.

What do you guys think? I think yes we should celebrate them.

I bought Halloween candy but no Trick-or-Treaters showed up and I have two bags just sitting here. I'm trying to lose weight and can't afford to keep nibbling on them, but I don't want to just throw them away. Does anyone have any creative ideas for what to do with it/who to give it to?

My friend Tom & I were there fro 8:10 pm till 5 am in the morning. What we saw was: a plastic cross & chain that caught fire & melted while hanging on a tombstone. I sprayed Holy water on it to put it out & a flame shot up 3 to 4 ft. then died out; I laid on one side of a grave and Tom on the other. My side started getting wet. Tom checked it & it was dry, yet my shirt was still wet; close to midnight, a lightening bolt struck a bolder & split it, then it got windy & rain sprinkled for approx. 5 or 7 min. yet we didn't get wet at all, the ground wasn't even wet or damp; a little rumble was felt under ground where we laid; a vapor of steam or something in shape of a football emerged from a grave, hovered, then left quickly to the left; the tombstone next to us read "Jerome Snellings-buried alive for murder of town pastor. 1893." A cat was heard somewhere fighting with an animal, the animal won; we heard a voice which sounded like it said, "Leave us" or something similar. (CONTINUED )

Ok I've changed from last year, my freshmen year is so nice! Im prettier, nicer, and fun to hang out with, but I feel left out sometimes cuz my friend had a party halloween night, and she didn't invite me, should I just blow it off, or should I just do the same to her on my b-day?

Now i have noticed this, this year for Halloween:

Most of the people are giving out chips more then candy this year. Why?

Have u noticed that or is it just in my area.

Well for one thing more people are getting more lazy to buy candy and stuff for Halloween.

And all they do is keep the candy for themselves.

So, have u noticed more chips in ur bag, or is it just in my area?
