haha we both have matching stories! we had a grand total of 2 kids come by our house, (both being my brothers friends!) so i just gave them to my brothers and had him and all of his friends take them. or if u could put a handful of candy in a ziploc bag and leave them on the neighbors doorsteps anonymosly...or maybe u could just return the candy? did u save the receipt?

I did the same thing. I bought 5 bags of candy (I couldn't decide) and I had no trick or treaters. But I made sure to buy candy that could go in the freezer. I bought things like skittles, starbursts, and milk duds. If I want candy I have to take it out of the freezer, wait until it un-freezes, and then I can eat it. I just have to decide if I'm going to want the candy in 45 minutes. And I made sure to get candy that I can't eat frozen without breaking a tooth. I thought through this before I went to the store.

Prepare small bags with candy, which you can carry with you and just offer them to friends, colleagues, neighbours... Not only kids would be interested - trust me ;)

Give it to young children in homes. I volunteered in a home before and they all seemed to be happy just to have a small present, sweets or not!
