I'm a senior in high school, and I was a bit upset when I realized I'd be working on Halloween. But my friend rescheduled so she's working with me, and we asked out boss if we can wear costumes. We can, but we don't know what to be. We're waitresses and we sorta want to cordinate our costumes so they go together. Any ideas?

People seem to be putting more emphasis into parties and events to observe Halloween than even into Christmas. There's more clip art and other graphical elements on the Internet for Halloween than other holiday. Halloween used to be just a minor observance and mostly for children, now it's like a major holiday and even adults dress up in costumes. Why this shift?

Why is it that for 364 days of the year children are told not to talk to strangers or accept lollies/gifts from them and yet on 31/10 they are encouraged to do so? Don't parents think about the nutters out there who could well be sizing ther children up for illegal activity?

No wonder kids are confused these days.

With all the problems going on in the last two decades, wehn taking or letting your kids out for Halloween, do you let them eat the candy? Do you check it out and throw away the questionable items? Do you take it to a hospital to be x-rayed (I know some hospitals have done this in the past). How careful do you check these "treats" out?

Do you really think that Jesus Christ would have dressed up as something he was not and gone out and recieved candy or goods from others?? Are we not supposed to follow in what Christ did? I hope that our children will ask each day --how or what would Christ do? I am not saying that children or adults can't have fun !!! Have a fall gatheing with bags full of treats for the kids.
