A pretty long time actually.
Pumpkins used to be stored and used for long periods of time similar to apples. If it is in a dry, cool place it should last even longer. I remember reading about storage of pumpkins for sale and it recommended not letting them touch and putting them on top of cardboard or newspaper. If you are just talking about one pumpkin... just keep it dry and cool and you should be ok for many months.

One the vine or off? Temperature also matters, it will rot quicker in the heat, but if it freezes then thaws it is shot too. Of course sitting on the ground also causes any veggie to rot faster. In a moderate climate, off the vine, and off of the ground, it should be good for a month or two.

If kept chilled, it will last months. If hot, it will wither up and gt dried out. They are gourds, or squashes - winter vegetables that are good for laying in root cellars for winter foods....
