Okay I should have mentioned, I don't want no 60's and what's a thrift store.

Preferably something scary or something funny, nothing from any particular era...

You will need a guy to go along with it, but last Halloween, my owner dressed in black and took me to a party on a leash and collar with 'Susan's slave' printed on my 'T' shirt.

Get a large piece of cardboard, tablecloth. Make hole in middle of the cardboard and tablecloth. Put your head through the hole. By using powder, baking soda or whatever you have on hand, make your head look like it was cut off and put on platter. Use lipstick for the red, black eyeliner, etc Heck you can use tomato sauce for the blood........If you don't have a tablecloth, use a sheet, look at your kitchen and bathroom for things you can use.

a thrift store is a second hand store. a cute idea i saw at our party last night---a gal took a cheap laundry basket and used it for a skirt, (wearing something underneath of course), used a towel as a cape and pinned socks and such to herself, took a fabric(dryer) sheet and made a 's' on her shirt=STATIC CLING GIRL. It was cheap and cute!!

Well it depends...
If you're tall you could dress up as a scarecrow
If you're short you could dress up as a pumkin man
If you want simple you could just dress up as a ghost *white table cloth with two black holes*
You could try to be dracula * all you need would be a false vampire teeth,a black coat and a scary smile *
