I am putting together a teen halloween costume for a ladybug. I have 2 tank tops (a red one and a black one), silver flats (shoes) with bows on them, and red/black tulle to make a skirt. I still need wings, but i don't know what else I need......also, can someone reccomend what to do with the shirts? I could simply layer them (but what order?). Or, I was thinking of cutting circles out of the red one, letting the black show through (a layered look for black dots) and possibly use black thread to show stitching around the circles. Any ideas/suggestions are appreicated.
Also, how should hair/makeup be done (brunette with hair a bit above the shoulders/with sidebangs and thick hair)

Thank you so much!

Okay, if any of you read my posts earlier, I am hosting a party for 13-year-olds. Here is a plan of stuff to do (Please comment and add ideas!)

* Fire (roast marshmellows/make smores)
* Music
* Scary Movies
* Air hockey table
* Open gifts
* Blow out candles
* Order pizza
* Bobbing for apples (maybe?)

Please note that these thirteen-year-olds do not act like little kids. They act more like 15/16 year olds.... will this party be okay and not too childish/boring?

There will alos be 14-year-olds there, too...

I'm dressing up as a pirate for Halloween but I have absolutely no idea how to do my make up. I'm a sexy pirate so I don't want anything scary but I do want to keep in theme. Does anyone know any good sites with step by step instructions, or pictures of pirate makeup? Or does anyone have any tips?

I am a 23 yr old Female. I brought a cool blond wig, and I want to wear it with a cool costume, but it doesn't seem to tie into a lot of things. What would be a fun costume to wear with a blond wig. Nothing too scary or gory. I like cute and pretty and maybe a little sexy, but not slutty. I wouldn't want it to be too expensive either. Maybe something fun with a cape or tights. Thanks.

I am having a halloween party for thirteen-year-olds and it might rain! If it doesnt rain we'll have a fire, but if it does what am I supposed to do to provide entertainment? We have an airhockey table, and a TV.... and thats about all I can think of. No cheesy games for thirteen-year-olds, please. The birthday girl doesnt like stuff like that.

Thanks so much!

I'm a RN who has to work at a children's hospital on Halloween night. In the "spirit" of Halloween some of us want to dress up. Any ideas that won't interfer with our dress code (which is any color scrubs) is comfortable and will allow me to work.

So for Halloween, I don't really want to spend any money on a costume because that's money I need for something else (school, books, tuition), and the only thing I have in my house that's costume-related is a Hula skirt that my sister used when she did a Tahiti dance last year at school, but I was wondering, is dressing up as an Hawaiian Islander offensive to their culture? I know a lot of people do it, but is it right? I don't want to have to compromise my morals just because I don't want to go out and buy a costume, and also, I'm an Ethnic Studies major so that makes me all the more conscious....lol what do you guys think?

There has been so much in the news about children and obesity. I believe that today, children have too many "junk" foods and as a result, many are overweight.
The children on my street are mostly all overweight and I think that they all have heavy diets of pop, candies, chips, etc.
I am planning to buy some good quality apples, put them in individual clear bags with a lollipop and some stickers. In case parents are concerned about the apples, I plan to put my name, address and phone number on a card in the package so that parents will know where this treat came from. What do you think of the idea?
