Okay, if any of you read my posts earlier, I am hosting a party for 13-year-olds. Here is a plan of stuff to do (Please comment and add ideas!)

* Fire (roast marshmellows/make smores)
* Music
* Scary Movies
* Air hockey table
* Open gifts
* Blow out candles
* Order pizza
* Bobbing for apples (maybe?)

Please note that these thirteen-year-olds do not act like little kids. They act more like 15/16 year olds.... will this party be okay and not too childish/boring?

There will alos be 14-year-olds there, too...

Well, you could buy some fabric and have a costume making contest. Have kids pick teams, and then have the pick one person to be the "model" and give them the fabric and have a big box for all (accessories) and then yeah. well i just thought of that idea now. You could also do a Bozo buckets type thing with cool Halloween prizes!

(PS use teh website lol it has better ideas)

I read and replied to your earlier post. I like the fire and music. Maybe you could have the movies playing in different areas for people that want to take a break from the party. I don't know, but maybe they should open presents later? It kind of changes the party from Halloween birthday to birthday. If you can, make the cake spooky and Halloween-ish. Pizza is good. For a more Halloween theme, you could put gummy worms, fake eyeballs, or other things on the pizza. You should bob for apples. It's way more fun and clean than everyone thinks.
It sounds good. Keep up the brainstorming.
Good luck.

I think it sounds fun but 13 year olds act so old these days that it's probably better if you didn't structure the party too much, except for the opening of presents and the cake. Let them make the smores and marshmallows and eat when they feel like it, put in the movie when they want, etc. I think the party sounds good overall, I am sure they will love the air hockey and the bobbing for apples sounds fun. Just keep the atmosphere light and don't try to host too much, (I am assuming you are a adult). Have a great time!

A lot of people do not like scary movies, so if you are not sure that everyone will be okay with the movies you picked out, also rent a comedy and show it in another room. I would ditch the apple bobbing idea, and instead have them give each other pedicures or manicures or even fake nails.

okay i like your ideas for this party. Music is fine (rock, hip hop, pop) scary movies are wonderful. air hockey is fine. The candles adn the bobbing aples or fire i dont think that will work. I think junk food maybe lots of frieinds over, cool decorations. Girls?

No that sounds great. Except dont Bob for apples at all, that is a very outdated thing to do. Gifts? i cant believe you are giving them gifts for halloween! the only gift you need to get is giving them a little bag full of different candies and chocolate.

Are you going to decorate? Sounds more like a birthday party to me, but it's okay. Don't be surprised if these 13 year olds try to sneak off and neck somewhere and ignore all of your planning.

I'm not sure about the bobbing for apples. Also, our teens love video games.
