The regular clips won't work through the mesh of the gutter guard. I tried adhesive clips but they didn't stay up in the rain we had yesterday. Any great ideas? (besides staples)

The original question was "What are you getting me for Christmas?" Yahoo deleted the question, said it was a policy violation & underlined "Christmas." as the reason. Can someone fine tune the auto reader?

We own a small auto repair shop & really want to show our appreciation and wish them a happy holiday season.

I feel like that excercise guru who would scream out "Stop the insanity!"

It is EVERYWHERE you go - your mailbox full of items you should buy (cars, clothes, etc) and then your email box is also full of offers for gifts. If you go to any store, more stuff being markteted to us. It's even on TV, radio, etc.

Isn't it something that so few step back and see how bad this is for us, especially when the economy is weak and families are struggling?

Yes, gifts are nice - to give and receive - however, consumers need to learn to draw the line and step back a little this time of year. It's not just "things" that make us happy, and somehow our culture tries to make it that way to profit business.

This weekend he said that we're all becoming too consumerish and that by showering our kids with gifts at Christmas to make them happy that we're really giving them a false sense of happiness. Anyone agree?

I remember when i lived on my own, i never bothered with a christmas tree, my mum and my older sister used to come round and set up a tree, then i never took it down either, they would come back round again in the middle of january and take it down. Well what is the point if i'm living on my own.
