Okay from a scientist's perspective here...

Santa is very old. Like, immortal old. He's been giving people presents for a very long time.

He has also been living in the North Pole for a very long time. Perhaps long enough to evolve.

Evolution has told us that the less sun an area gets, ie the colder it is, the less people need melanin (skin pigmentation). That is, people in Sweden and Iceland and Norway are going to be lighter-skinned whereas people from closer to the equator (more sun) are going to have more melanin, meaning darker skinned.

Since Santa's from the North Pole, or from an unknown area and has lived in the North Pole for hundreds of years, I'd reckon he'd be light skinned and chubby (since the colder a climate the person's from, the more fat they're going to have on them...natural way to keep warm.)

:)

Children live in the world of their imagination (especially if they have not been made to watch too much tv). For them, the imaginative world is very real and very important and appropriately so. In this world, the child is the creator and Santa is as black as they imagine him to be.

Encouraging children of African ancestry to imagine Santa as black enhances their self-esteem. In fact, all children benefit from relief from the popular culture imagery that is so relentlessly consistent in presenting Santa as white.

Appropriate and inappropriate information and imagery can be found if you Google "Black Santa." Or try "Asian Santa," etc.

santa isnt real, st. Nicholas was...he's dead, so I guess you could just say he's dead cuz he was real he just doesnt exist anymore... st. Nicholas was greek he was born in a greek village called Patara (which @ the time was greek), he was a priest in Myra ( turkish province) and was well renowned for his gift giving, thus the story of santa clause bringing you gifts...st nicholas was probably as most greeks are olive colored and black hair...enter st. nicholas in your search engine and see what you can come up with!!! :) Good Luck!!!

Since Santa is in our thoughts and hearts, I'm sure he is Black, White, Hispanic, Asian and etc. So no need to make a racial thing.

Santa can be whatever color you want. But most people agree he's white. I am agreeing with the premise that he does exist for this question.

Santa is a dark skinned individual with a white beard and large stomach. All pictures show him as white, but this is a lie.
