I think it might, but maybe I am just superstitious.... it seems when I have a wild new years I have a crappy year.... but when I just chill out then I have a happier year... what do you all think?

I don't think so...nothing can really predict what's going to happen during the upcoming year. Maybe since you have a lot of fun during a wild New Year the rest of the year doesn't seem as great; when you have a quiet New Year, the rest of the year is awesome...

I'm not very superstitious...

i used to go outside barefoot and walk around a bit on New Year's Day. partly to freak out the neighbours, but partly to welcome the new year. i think i'll do that this time, just for fun, and take some photos of my footprints in the snow. the past few years i've switched to the Lunar New Year. attending the celebrations in Chinatown always gives me so much happiness, and it keeps me warm inside all year. or at least until the Mid-Summer festival. our attitude has a lot to do with how we cope with things. and our expectations have a way of coming true.....barring disasters.

Yes. When I get snockered on New Year's, I'm pretty much that way all year.
