my mother is the hardest woman to buy Christmas for.
She has every piece of jewlery ever made so we cant get her that.
She is a florist so we cant get her any type of flowers or floral decoration.
Shes very picky so we dont buy her clothes.
I dislike buying girft cards for her because its something small and she hardly ever gets out. So, i was thinking i might buy her a large basket and fill it will all types of things. Such as: maybe body stuff, maybe a set of fashion earrings, a simple shirt, pajama set, candies, a nice wallet, candle stuff, etc,
Is this ok?
If so, what else could i fill the basket with?
thanks!

I used to do this years ago to surprise neighbors and teach my kids the joy of giving. I do remember that one day we gave a jar of jam and a tag that said "Hope your holidays are jammed full of joy!" I can't remember hardly any of the other gifts. They were simple, inexpensive and mostly stuff you already had. Like a calender at the end to hope that the year is full of joy or something like that. Kind of urgent as we started last night and not sure what to do tonight. I also know one was hot chocolate to hope keep the warmth of the season. Can't remember it and would love to get it right. Anyone know what I am talking about"
HELP!!

Christmas is arriving.
I live in Florida, but usually in FL at Christmas time, its cold.
Its been so hot.
I am not in the Christmas spirit.
I've listened to Christmas music, bought the tree, put up the decorations..
nothing is working.
i'm not selfish, but today i received word i wasen't getting the iPod nano which i was certain i was getting..which brought me down.
How can i get in the spirit? Is it my fault?

Working in retail, I have seen nothing but insanity these last few weeks as every parent comes begging for Wiis and DS's. I've been sworn at, shouted at and have even seen a woman CRY because she couldn't buy a Nintendo DS. Is anyone else disgusted by people at Christmas, and the fact that they would rather spend money on lumps of plastic then to remember what's important in life? Does anyone give money to the homeless instead of buying presents or are we all completely selfish idiots?

My friend's birthday is coming up along with Christmas and I do not have a clue as to what to get him. I want to get him something really creative or unique. He loves flying, airplanes, and falcons and similar birds along with spending hours upon hours on detailing his car. He is going to be turning 19, any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I love him to death but he only loves me as a friend. What would be the perfect gift to say how much I care?

My dad got laid off at work, we don't have insurance and very little money for Christmas. My parents are putting off their Christmas for me and my older brother. I don't know what to do. We have about 400 dollars for chirstmas which means they're going to spend about $150 on each of us. Some money is going to bills and food. It's not that we can't get presents, it's that they've been buying cigerettes and telling us we don't have any money so we can't do the things we want to. We can't live like normal kids because they're smoking. If I try to stand up to them for me and my bro, they just yell at us. Tell us we're being rude and "it's hard to quit". I know that it is cause I took health last year in school, but jeez, I'm in a lose-lose situation. They're killing themselves and I'm suffering too. I hate inhaling that stuff. It's disgusting.

Is anyone else going to have a sad, awful Christmas this year?

Many people ended in depression in the Christmas season. Is this normal?

Based on a 1999 estimated population count of North America and Europe, on Christmas Eve of that year Santa Claus had to visit 42,466,666 homes in a 12-hour period -- that's 983 homes per second.

Hi! We're probably among tons of other people who would love to give Christmas presents to relatives and family friends. Right now, with money so tight, we can't do it this year. Is there a thoughtful way of expressing this in a card? We don't want to come across as cheap, or poor yet we also want them to know how much we love and care for them regardless of us not giving presents. Any ideas? Thank you!

Uhmm... I didn't buy my best friend a Christmas present yet and I was wondering whether or not I should ask her what she wants? Would asking her what she wants be against the whole 'Christmas present' law? :S lol thanks in advance!

Only 10 days till christmas and I'm stumped. Its not an emergency but I could use some help.

1. She is 13. And a tomboy, with a great arm for football, so no cutesy stuff.
2. I have $20 to spend.
3.No gift baskets. Gift baskets are cheap.
4. No makeup or clothes
5. I also live in Hawaii so I'm limited on places to buy. So no Target, or Trader Joes, etc.
