It seems like my parents went nuttier when we were younger- more lights, more decos, blah blah. Now we barely do anything. Do you think familes "grow out" of Christmas when people grow up and move away?

I'm hosting a Christmas Party in a week and I wanted to create a playlist of Christmas music from every genre. Does anyone have any good heavy metal christmas songs (from bands like, or sound like Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, etc)?

I bought the ps3 80gb for my husband and two boys. They have NO clue that they are getting this.
I wrapped it in a box, in a box, in a box, into another box. Each one wrapped.
5 boxes total.
My co-workers and some friends tell me, it's mean to do that.
I thought it would be cute to watch them open it and not getting to it till the last box.
What's your feelings on that?

Every year my entire extended family throws a very large Christmas party. We always play Dirty Santa/ Yankee Swap/ White Elephant/Whatever name you'd like to call it.

This year I have been put in charge of the other games. Any ideas for party games for people ranging from 15 to 70? (The little bitty kids watch rather than play.) There will be about twenty to thirty people there.

My wife and I just got married, and we had to pay for virtually everything ourselves without any outside help. We're finally getting back on our feet, but I don't have much money to buy her gifts for Christmas. I really want to make this one special for the both of us. Any suggestions?

Christmas appears to be the most significant holiday to Christians. Is the holiday mandated anywhere in Christian scriptures or in the doctrine of the Church? If so where?

Do you do that every year? Sometimes it's all people can manage at this holiday season time of year. For me, I would love to write personalized letters, but time doesn't allow for that again this year...

Shop workers, shop workers who wear santa hats and bloody flashing reindeer antleers or bloody tinsel, what they trying to prove eh?
Most of them look as miserable as sin and totally ignore you but they wear this jolly xmas stuff.
Well I say its silly and I have wrote a letter of complain to Asda today, they may upset the Muslims wear such stuff.
Have you heard the announcements in Tesco recently? " its buy one get one free on all batteries in store today .... Merry Christmassssss"
Oh shhhhuuuut up I DO NOT want strangers wishing me a bloody merry Xmas over a poor quality tannoy system, while I am just trying to find the Preperation H pile treatment!
I have had enough and I am going for a lie down

I know Christmas is all about GIVING, but no one in my family will even call me, & they never appreciate the gifts I give them for birthday or Christmas. I can't be around my family without the cops getting involved. It's THAT bad.

I ordered myself a DVD & a CD.

In today's society, people are so greedy when it comes to Christmas. It's about spending time with the ones you love. Plain and simple. I hear so many people talking about what they want, how they get crappy presents, how they make detailed lists.... blah blah blah. It sickens me. Have we really sunken this low? If this crap is really what Christmas is all about, why not save your money and time and just go buy yourself what you REALLY want? We're not kids anymore, yet we still seem to act like them. Anyone with me on this one?

My husband and I both just lost our jobs due to the business closing down with no warning. We have 2 boys ages 10 and 9 and a 7 y/o girl. We have a very high heating bill so all of the money we get has to go to pay on that. We live in Wayne County Illinois and if anyone would like to help us with Christmas presents or knows of a place that might help please email me @ mommyredneckgirl@yahoo.com
I hate doing this but this is not a good year. Thank you. Merry Christmas everyone. God Bless.

What would you be asking Santa for Christmas?

Think back on all the great things you've gotten, what would you ask for now, given all the neat stuff that is available that wasn't when some people were little.

Me, I'd want a truck load of Barbie's, the first one that was made. Today, she's worth a small fortune. I'd also like a snowboard (can't do that now, I'd break something important).

We are doing this "Chinese" gift giving at the office this year....we each bring in a gift, wrapped, and all sit around and open them...you get to steal peoples gifts and you can keep it....not really sure how to play. So if you heard of it....let me know what to bring!....I want to make it fun.
