Me and my little boy badger my boyfriend from October when Christmas things start appearing in the shops but he doesn't give in until the first week in December!! And then I remember why when our cat just knocks everything off and attacks you from in the tree if you go anywhere near it. I think Christmas Eve next year!! xx

I put up my tree about Nov. 20 this year. I love the lights and time to enjoy the pretty decorations. It gets me in the spirit for Christmas Shopping and planning for visitors.
It also can be alot of work to haul everything out, so I like to put it up early as before long it is time to pack things up again.
I think that everyone is different, no right or wrong (some people leave them up all year!) Some have naughty pets, or small children who a tree is such temptation they put it up close to the big day.

It is tradition in our family to put it up the day after Thanksgiving every year and to take it down the day after New years.
Some people wait til December 1st and still others wait til the 12 days before Christmas in honor of the 12 days of Christmas because they don't want their real tree to start turning brown to soon. For others it is 2 weeks before Christmas.
The reason why I put it out when I do is because it is SOO MUCH WORK to put out all that decor and if you look the Christmas decor is already out everywhere else anyway.

Oh i understand the way you sense, i will already sense that Christmas feeling coursing with the aid of my veins. whether, i'd wait till after Halloween a minimum of. My mom and that i post or decorations a pair days till now Thanksgiving because of the fact we adore the decorations and the tree and stuff. besides, we would on no account get to it after because of the fact we would be so busy doing each and every thing else for Christmas. possibly wait purely a sprint till now Thanksgiving. possibly do it a week till now. i won't be able to truly inform you while to do it, yet i'd propose a minimum of waiting till November rolls around, which would be right here till now you recognize it. whether in case you like to handle that Christmas buzz i'd say possibly start up Christmas procuring in case you could? possibly pay attention to a pair music? Or my mom and that i even start up procuring a pair decorations purely a sprint around this time.

We put ours up on the first occasion that we have visitors for dinner usually on a Saturday night. This year it was last Saturday but other years it has been just days before Christmas.
Please do have a happy and a very blessed Christmas.

We normally put ours up around the 15th, but our 5 year old daughter was so excited to get it up that we went ahead and put it up last Saturday.
Does anyone have any idea why the candy canes keep disappearing from it? LOL
