Every year my entire extended family throws a very large Christmas party. We always play Dirty Santa/ Yankee Swap/ White Elephant/Whatever name you'd like to call it.

This year I have been put in charge of the other games. Any ideas for party games for people ranging from 15 to 70? (The little bitty kids watch rather than play.) There will be about twenty to thirty people there.

I guess you could play "guess the reindeer poop". its a variation of a baby shower game.

Take different chocolate bars (mounds, snickers, reeses) and put them on some cotton (snow) and melt them in the microwave. Not enough to totally disinegrate..just enough to become disgusting.

Then have people guess which candy the reindeer ate!

Winner gets a chocolate bar!

Of course you can have all sorts of "reindeer games" like tying a team of 5-8 people together...blindfolding all but one...put balloons between their knees and have another team member (santa) shouting directions from the sidelines!

they have to cross the floor and drop their balloons into the chimney (laundry basket).

for the older people you could have a Christmas word search or trivia game or play Christmas pictionary...or hit balloons with giant candy canes..first team to let their balloon touch the ground loses.

If you search for bowtie christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 4 new original games that will help make your nite fun.

Some of the games especially Sandys Christmas Carol game can be adjusted for nearly any age 8 and up.

For parties mixers like this work because they give folks something to do while they get warmed up to each other. if they want to talk, they can talk, but if conversatrion lags games like these take up the awkward silences that many of us dread.

Whats nice is that people don't all have to be in it to enjoy it. Some can just help out if asked or enjoy the groans of the answer section.

If links work in the answer blocks here's the link

there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.

My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.

I hope they work out well for you
