yeah sure especially if your family causes so much drama that the police have to make a holiday appearance! I don't have any blood kin to spend the holidays with so my family are my two best friends but we have to do it before the holidays because they usually go home to their families for the holiday. So I usually go and pick out something for myself so I know that I'm going to get something I want for christmas. I wrap them and put them under the tree so I have something to unwrap on Christmas day.

Yes, yes, yes buy yourself the best Christmas present you can afford and then check into volunteering at a "soup kitchen" or a place like that for Christmas Day. It really can be a lot of fun. Is public transportation running on Christmas day where you live? I hope so.

That's OK. However, if you believe in the meaning of Christmas, give something to a total stranger and make their day; especially someone who probably needs a gift. There are lots of lonely people and unfortunate families in the world.

No that isn't bad at all. Of course, you are entitled! I can't believe your family is like that! Why? You can't be alone for christmas! If it makes you feel any better, my dad's family decided to leave us out of Christmas this year. Nice family, huh? Who needs enemies!
I am sorry sweetie. I will think of you....pls email me if you want. I check it often.
Merry Christmas from your Yahoo Family!

Sorry to hear that... Most people need their family. They accept the gift you give them, but don't want you near. That's not love. How about spending Christmas with friends.
Oh and yes it's ok.. I get myself something for Christmas because I live alone, my children can't afford to give, and I love myself.

Some family, my eldest son has just been abandoned by his wife for someone else, what a nice Christmas present to him, he has decided to work over the holiday period, it will save him from sitting alone, we unfortunately live in another country but have extended an invitation to him, but he preferes to work it will give him less time to brood.

There is nothing wrong about buying yourself something.
As far as your family is concerned, if you want, buy them something and send it to them.
If you don't want to be alone for the holidays, how about volunteering? There are many out there who have no one or nothing. Instead of presents for your family, adopt a family, buy toys and donate them to a local shelter, buy food for your local food kitchen.. .call your local social services and ask about it.
Good luck and try to have a happy holiday.

Of course it is I always get myself a special something from me, i know ill like it and i know i at least get one present. My fiance and i also go out and buy ourselves a relationship present from us to us, two years ago we got a good staple gun we buy practical but something we might not spend the money on any other time of year.
Consider it your way of rewarding yourself for surviving another year.
I hope things work out for you no matter how, i hope your holidays are happy and that you enjoy them to the fullest.

Heck yes! Buy yourself as many presents as you want. And, for extra fun, wrap them and put them under your tree. If I could, I'd send you a present, and some of the goodies I'm making.
