My mom has a bunch of cats and really loves them. I have one cat, he looks like a marble cake so I thought he would look spectacular dunked in glaze or frosting. I told my mom about it and she thought it was a great idea ... she has 2 cats that look like mine.

However, it could be a bit expensive and difficult to get the glaze ... do you think that would be a nice surprise/gift for her, or should I wait until she has time to get it herself. I don't know I was thinking a dunking party with cats on Christmas Eve after gift opening could be fun! Thoughts?

My best friend's little girl is one, and she has tons of stuffed animals and clothes already. I'd like to get her something relatively inexpensive (no more than $25) and useful.

While it is true that the stores do have the power to dictate what the cashiers say, most truly don't care whether anyone says "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas". The cashiers themselves determine what they say in that arena. Why do people create lies about that the stores are monitoring every single thing that is said when that is not true?

Do we need Santa Clause to have some good Christmas time?

There are lots of areas where it is warm all year round and have been that way for a long time so this isn't anything new. Also, not everyone likes cold so that's one of the reasons they move there or choose to stay there. Doesn't global warming get a bad enough rap as it is?

is it just me or do local stores and malls not disgust the heck out of you? I am a firm believer that Christmas doesnt't have to be so commericalized if you choose for it not to be. Not everyone has to participate in all the crazy amount of shopping taking place, but i find it sad that people like me and others out there that feel the same way get stuck working rediculous store holiday hours just so owners can make an extra couple bucks. my husband for example works in the local mall which changes its hours to be open later all of december. I work at a grocery store part-time while going to school and we are open till 6pm on Christmas eve. We dont get to go home until 6:30. even the mall is closed at 5pm along with many other shops in the area. its sad that with 364 days to prepare some rude person will be in at the last minute puicking up groceries for Christmas dinner while people working have family they would like to go home to. it just really gets to me
