I want to hold a white elephant gift exchange, but I don't know how it works. At my job we used to pick names and they would pick a present. I think you could also exchange twice? Anyone know how to do this let me know?

My co-worker and I were just looking at the calendar and realized there was a "Day After New Year's Day" on the 2nd (duh) in New Zealand. What the heck is it? I've found it listed all over the place, but no definition! I haven't seen any listings that indicate they celebrate New Year's Eve, so is it their version of the American "New Year's Eve" and "New Year's Day"?
