My favorite thing about this time of the year is that I get to buy gifts for my family that make them smile and put joy into their hearts. I love making them happy since life isn't quite dealing them the good cards at the moment.
But what I'm most looking forward to is seeing how my daughter reacts to opening presents and such on her first Christmas. =)

ROFL...a "sewer worker"? What are you, the guy on "The Dirtiest Jobs"???? : ) I love him! Is he single?
Anyway...ah yes, Christmas time! Well, when you have family you'd rather ship out on the first expermental public flight to the next solar system, it can be difficult. But, I do make the best of it anyway and concentrate on what it is all about.
I try to do good things for those who have a rough life. It helps them and makes me feel like Mother Teresa for a short time.
Merry Christmas and don't forget the reason for the season...JESUS CHRIST was born.

It's all of the above...and more! Plus, to add to the overwhelming feelings I always get with so much to be done in so little time -- this year we closed on our new home on NOVEMBER 20th!!! Talk about being dazed, crazed and confused...So, all mixed up with the thankfulness of feeling so very blessed, our heads are spinning with all the things that needed to be done with the move -- since we moved out of NJ and into PA, we had to change our driver's licenses and all that jazz on top of the normal stuff you have to do to change addresses, etc., with everyone you do business with (you can change with the post office and still need to go to most of your serious business stuff with your new information.....Eeegads?!?! The thought of shopping for gifts, wrapping stuff and baking makes me wish for a blizzard so that I have an excuse to just stay shut in until Spring '08! Well, happy holidays to everyone anyway...

You're a sewer worker?
For me I guess it's the music. Even though I'm supposed to be this hard core Pimp, I still have a soft spot for Christmas music.

I like the crimbo dinner, mince pies, xmas pudding and sherry with slade on the hifi and the lights flashing from the houses.
What im not so keen on is the madness in the shops, like there is a war on and everything is running out. Why do people go nuts?

Sights and smells, presents don't really do anything for me, I like to give them, but my children are grown and they don't need anything, so instead of presents, we will just give to a local charity, and they are fine with that, in fact they love the idea,.
and so do I.
When I was growing up, it was always the weeks before Christmas of all the excitement of cooking smells and tree trimming. I hope you don't have to work Christmas.
