My boyfriend wants me to tell him three things that I want for christmas so he can pick one and buy it for me and he also told me three things that he wants. I feel weird telling him what I want and i'm trying to think of something inexpensive that I can tell him...any ideas?

If it were not for our two kids, me and my husband would love to run away on a mini vacation for Christmas and not have to see any family or buy them gifts! I'd like to spend one Christmas in a hotel room on the beach somewhere!

If you don't celebrate Christmas.. how do you tell your kids what Santa is.. and the lights.. snowmen globes in people's yards and the whole bit? Kids faces light up when they experience the magic of the holiday season.. how do you handle their curiousity? Also.. to those who don't celebrate Christmas.. how come you frequent the Christmas section in Yahoo answers so much? Just wondering.. Best Wishes!

My favorite one is the Folger's coffee commercial where the older kid comes home and starts the coffee and people start waking up and come down the stairs and give him a hug and say Merry Christmas -- I have seen that commercial 100's of times and get teary eyed every time I see it.

Now you tell me about your favorite. Thanks and Merry Christmas

I'm sick of the holidays...It's so commercialized and it's getting to where it's more about the gifts people get, want or recieve then the celebration of the birth of Christ. Whos with me in makeing "Festivus" just like xmas, kwanza, etc? A new Holiday "Festivus for the rest of us!"

Evidence shows that the UK is becoming increasingly secular. Additionally, there are many non-Christian religions in the land. Whilst I like to give & receive presents like everyone else and I enjoy all the festivities, should the winter festival now be called something other than Christmas?

For 2 good guys on my team at work, we spend plenty of time working alongside each other.
And for 2 pretty good friends, we hang out every weekend.

I make $40k annually gross.

Just moved to the U.S. a couple of years ago, so I'm still catching up on all this gift-buying frenzy :-)

I need a gift idea for a male boss. He is in his mid 30s, has a family, and we are in a profession where we earn a lot of money.

He likes wine, dining out, we went to the same college and he enjoys sports. I want to get something nice, but not over the top... maybe $100-$200.

An unselfish person gives an unselfish gift !
A person puts on a red coat and a fur lined red hat -giving up 'self' for the day.
How can I not love that person who brings a little joy , happiness and 'magic' to others -even if only one day a year.
Santa helps me remember St. Nicholas and the Birth celebrated at this time of year.
Santa is the embodiment of giving, love, and , generosity- whatever else you may or may not believe.
Can each of be Santa for another at least once a year ???
