Actually I don't visit it, your question just came out on top of the open questions.

I don't celebrate Christmas, mostly because the only thing most people seem to celebrate it for are the presents. I have no problem giving gifts and simply celebrating my friends and family. To my kids I explain that Santa Claus is a fictional character.

...As for the magic of the holiday season... I know that this case is not representative of everyone but my neighbors keep up their decorations until they break down on their own. They are so proud of how many lights and doo-dads they put up. They brag to everyone about how great they are, and I have to listen to them endlessly insulting me for not putting any up.* Well, over the past seven years this guy has been arrested five times for getting drunk and beating up visiting family.

* I always tell him "Happy Birthday Jesus" and walk away. He gets so pissed at that.

You see, I am not a Christian, but even with Christians I don't see the holiday as being all that spiritual. I don't say that to be insulting at all, it's just that, what do you see more of? Black Friday ads or peace on earth and goodwill to all men?

If you celebrate and enjoy Christmas for whatever reason, good for you. I just don't need it is all.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but have always enjoyed this time of year. Santa, I don't believe, has anything to do with your real Christmas story, so I believe it is just a fun time of year. People are nicer to each other, it's colorful, and then there are the presents.

Presents are exchanged at work, whether or not one celebrates the holiday. Even if I don't celebrate Christmas, I still have to get presents and acknowledge those who have been there for me during the year, such as my cleaning lady, esthetician, hairdresser, paperboy, handyman, etc.

I think for many who are Christian, this has become a more or less secular holiday. This is just my opinion and based on observation of those around me. Although I am not Christian, I can still enjoy all the fun of the holiday season too.

It in simple terms so occurs for Atheists, in simple terms like for non-Christians, that we've not got a decision at "Christmas trip journeys" as there are some federal ones and countless companies close down or decelerate at that factor. So subsequently it fairly is logical to take day off so as to maximise the each year trip journeys you get. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you're asking if I supply delivers, that has not something to do including your non secular trip journeys, the delivers are a trademark holiday. in case you're implying that the delivers are to rejoice Christ's birthday, then you definately must be numerous relaxing at all and sundry elses birthday as you supply your self delivers. How unusual that is. Christmas is pondered additionally after much extra historic pagan rituals and celebrations at that factor of the 12 months, that became copied via Christianity. So fairly i'm not celebrating your non secular holiday, however the pagan celebrations which you're copying.

I celebrate christmas, but my aunt and her family do not because they are of a different religion. Its just like any other holiday that yor religion doesnt believe for them. Like for atheists, they dont care about easter, while some of us like to decorate eggs and celebrate the happiness. My aunts children dont seem to mind and they have always kept the secret that santa isnt real around the little ones who do believe. And maybe they frequent that section because deep down they want to celebrate with us! Even if they dont believe the message behind it.

Well, I celebrate Yule. And I don't have any kids...

But when I do, I plan on leaving them small presents from "Santa" on Dec. 25th and doing the family part on the solstice. Because Santa is cultural.

People living in the US should strive to adopt our country's values and traditions. Illegals don't love the country of the US that they've invaded illegally. They'd rather overthrow us and our culture than to celebrate it. There is a reason why they're called illegals

I celebrate Christmas, but my kids aren't growing up with the Santa Claus lie. It defeats the purpose of charity of the season, and causes later doubt over God and anything else you teach them.

I like to focus on the nativity, even though I believe Jesus was born in March-Mayish.

Someone told me once that Santa was a homeless person and that he got drunk every day. He went to AA and they told him part of his recovery was to go around helping people.
Of course I knew that was a lie.
