What is your FAVORITE part of Halloween?

2007-10-31 04:26:50 · 3 answers · asked by Anonymous in Halloween

to NOT use a living Christmas Tree? I have used artificial trees for years. Besides, real trees cost too much and I would be taking more from the environment.

This is a question is for anyone that thinks they "have to" buy something because others are buying you something or you are worried about being a scrooge. I am aware of the stupidity behind the question. 5, 10, 15, 20 percent?

Do you love halloween?
Do you take part?
do you dress up?
If you dress up, as what?
what's your tricks?
whats your treats?
do you have a party?
what do you think about the sentiment of halloween?
is it just a bit of fun?
OR/
or has it gone beyond a bit of fun now as far as you are concerned?
what do you think should be the acceptable limits?
does it worry you letting your children out trick or treating, in the dark?
does it worry you to answer the door?
have you been "tricked"? & had you already "treated" them when thet carried out a "trick" anyway?
what do you say to your kids as "ground rules"for trick or teating?
how long do you let your kids go out for and do you go with them, what ages??

thanks for answering, interested in what people are thinking about halloween now...?

(keep it clean pls x )

So many people this halloween is about Satan. However, I was watching a documentary on how Halloween came about in America. It wa sbrought over to the U.S. by the Irish. But the speaker for the documentary didn't say anything about halloween being related to Satan. I am a religious person and I don't see the harm in carving and pumpkin and letting your child go to a few houses to trick or treat. I don't think that is worshiping Satan in any way. My parents allowed me to do it.

When I stopped at Walgreens on my way to work this moring, the lady behind me asked our cashier why he didn't dress up for Halloween. He said that it is a satanic holiday and if you dress up you are blessed by the devil. I don't know if he thinks this because of Asian culture or what. He is Asian and I honestly do not know what that culture believes as far as halloween goes. Anyway, what's ya'lls opnion on the matter? I think some people take the holiday a little far though.

I'm from Italy. Today is Halloween for us too. Just some years ago few people Knew what day it is celebrated. Now everybody talks about Halloween. What will we do tonight for Halloween?, everybody says... But what's the right pronunciation: Hàlloween or Halloweèn? Where the hell does the accent fall? I suppose Halloweèn but everybody here says Hàlloween. Please answer...

For those who didn't know Halloween is All Hallows Eve. Hallow being a saintly figure. The new year All Hallows Day (all saints day) was on November 1st and in the night before that was counted as an otherworldly time between the two years when all the ghosts and ghools came out.

Wouldn't it be nice for Christmas to be celebrated for a week, along with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the other's?

I'm a 23 yr old male. The last two years I dressed up as a Hurricane Katrina Victim and a Child Molester(my girlfriend was the child). Anyone that died this year would be good.

I live in Australia. Halloween is not generally celebrated here. We might have the odd child trick/treat (and I try to have something for them). But we hear a lot about halloween. How are you celebrating where you are?

Perhaps I have failed to activate some switch, but I cannot find Easter although I was notified on my email that today is Halloween. Halloween is not nearly as important as Easter to me and many other people. Also Halloween is always on the same day, whereas Easter is on a different day each year and we need to look at a calendar to see where it falls in a particular year. Please include Easter as a holiday on the calendar holidays for the many Christians (and others) who use your service.
